WHY it matters//
Humility before God is the acknowledgement that we are under His Lordship in our lives. When we give our lives to Jesus we let go of the world's ways and grab ahold of God's ways in exchange. We seek His ways of thinking and acting so that we can glorify Jesus. It was God's great love for us that motivated Him to send Jesus to the cross. Our lives are a humble response to the great salvation that His love provided.

WHAT it's talking about//
The Prophet Micah lived in the late 7th and early 6th century BC and is considered a minor prophet in the Old Testament. He prophesied to a people that were unrepentant to God in Judah (The southern Kingdom of Israel). He declares God's judgement toward their sin, yet reminds the people that God has promised to deal with sin once and for all through Jesus because of His great mercy and love for humanity.

Micah 7:18-20 NLT

18 Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.
19 Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!
20 You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.
